KiCAD rendering of the module

TPM module for MSI Z690-A, Z790-P, and likely other compatible MSI motherboards, using the Infineon SLM9670 TPM. Also allows the BIOS to be flashed externally using a standard 8-pin 2.54mm header (as seen in e.g. CH341a kits). If flashing externally, always ensure the voltage of your flash chip matches the voltage of your programmer! I cannot guarantee all MSI motherboards are the same voltage. The SLM9670 itself supports both 1.8V and 3.3V operation.

The "JLCJLCJLCJLC" text on the board is for if you order it made at JLCPCB - you can tell them to place their order number for the board there so they don't put it somewhere else at random. If you do not order from JLCPCB, or do not care about the order number, you can remove or change that text.

BOM

  • 1x SLM9670
  • 2x 0.1 uF, 6.3V or greater 0603 capacitor
  • 1x 1 uF, 6.3V or greater 0603 capacitor
  • 1x 2x6-pin 2.0mm-pitch right-angle female pin socket (for MSI TPM header)
  • 1x 2x4-pin 2.54mm-pitch right-angle male pin header (optional - for external BIOS flashing)
